We have some great news on our ongoing MUBIC project! About a week ago we have officially received confirmation that or patent application is now pending.
The patent application (Number: 10,196,654) was filed with the title “Method for cycling biomasses between mushroom cultivation and anaerobic biogas fermentation, and for separating and drying a degassed biomass.”
The MUBIC team is really excited to take another step towards securing our important intellectual asset, and we are working very hard to see our solution spread their wings in the market.
A newly designed website dedicated to MUBIC project has been launched to amplify the project’s communication activity dissemination.
The website is to be used as the main platform in which the project lead Advanced Substrate Technology (AST) will share various news, reports, and encourage a two-way communication with the interested public.

In cooperation with INBIOM, The Danish innovation Network for Biomas, Agro Business Park in Foulum hosted a seminar about the future utilization of straw. The seminar took place on December 6, 2018, and brought attention to the possibilities that exist with straw, especially related to biogas production. AST contributed with a company presentation, as well as various networking activities. By doing so, AST ensured important exposure of AST’s new methods and the MUBIC project.

Agromek is Northern Europe’s largest agricultural fair. In the 2018 edition from 27-30 November, AST as part of Assentoft Silo, were assessed as 1 of 13 to present a new product worthy of 3 Agromek Stars. This provided the foundation for an exciting week for AST and for the continued promotion of the MUBIC project.

The topic of the White paper concerns the Danish transition to a bio-based society with resource-efficient production. The article by AST’s Technical Director, Svend Hoff, can be found on page 24 and concerns the transformation of residue from biogas production to high quality substrate for mushroom cultivation.
