Agromek is Northern Europe’s largest agricultural fair. In the 2018 edition from 27-30 November, AST as part of Assentoft Silo, were assessed as 1 of 13 to present a new product worthy of 3 Agromek Stars. This provided the foundation for an exciting week for AST and for the continued promotion of the MUBIC project.

AST’s many activities at Agromek
AST were very active in 2018’s Agromek fair, first and foremost by being given 3 Agromek stars and by being nominated as a potential award winner for their methods in increasing gas yields through cutting, grinding and N-steaming biomass. As an exhibitor under the combined Assentoft Silo and AST brand during the entire week, this initial media attention drew many visitors at the stand pictured above.

The danish agriculture newspaper, Landbrugsavisen, published an article during Agromek explaining the yields from these new methods, including how the movable cutter & grinder can save transportation costs. The newspaper conducted an interview with AST’s Technical Director Svend Hoff (pictured above) for this article. See the article here:

On the same day as Landbrugsavisen published their article, November 28, Svend Hoff was accompanied by AST Director Peter Damgaard Nielsen to give a presentation about the company’s innovative methods and technologies. This provided another opportunity to promote the MUBIC project in front of a crowd full of anticipation.

Furthermore, potential new products, the circular economy aspect and the opportunity of using new types of biomass are discussed.

What is Agromek and Agromek Stars?
Agromek is Northern Europe’s largest joint agricultural fair.
The expo is held every second year at MCH Messecenter Herning. The fair is an important meeting place for the agricultural industry, its suppliers, customers and business partners. Here, everything is gathered in one joined fair with seven sectors.
Agromek Stars is an award system focusing attention on the exhibitors’ product news. A panel of judges and experts assess the exhibitors’ news and grant them 1, 2 or 3 stars. One star means that a product has a considerable news value. Two stars are given to products that are more innovative than this, especially in relation to capacity increase or new construction. Three stars mean that the product contains either an entirely new cooperation or construction principle, or an entirely new composition or notable effect.
